AI Use Policy
5 September 2026 · Applies to all our titles
Principles
- Human authorship of the creative work
- Art, audio, and game design are authored by people, not by AI.
- AI-assisted development
- AI is one tool among many in how we write the code for our games, used under direction and review. Nothing ships that we have not read, reworked and held to our standards.
- Deterministic gameplay
- No title we ship uses AI to generate or alter content while the game is running.
- Localization within our means
- We want players who do not read English to be able to play our games. As a small studio, that means relying on AI for translation, and not all translated content has been reviewed by a person. We hope to one day be in a position to have all translations authored by a native speaker.
Disclosure
- Art
- All art is original work, either produced in house or provided by the licensor of the underlying work, with the exception of a small number of interface symbols drawn from established symbol fonts.
- Audio
- All sound effects and music are acquired from vendors specializing in hand-crafted audio.
- Text
-
All English text is hand-authored.
Translations are AI-generated, and reviewed by a human where feasible.
- Gameplay Systems
-
All game design is authored in house. Where a title is an adaptation, the underlying rules and play system are the licensed design of the original publisher.
Implementation code is AI-authored and reworked under our direction.
- Storefront
- All store page copy and marketing assets are hand-crafted, with the exception of translations into other languages, which follow the same practice described under Text.
